Our Goals

Our P&C aims to bring the school community together so parents, teachers and community members can help meet the needs of the school community and contribute to decisions related to the school.

The Kegworth Public School P&C Association has three key goals to achieve on behalf of the Parent and Carer Community:

    • Enrich learning and play at Kegworth
    • Engage and represent the Kegworth community
    • Ensure a sustainable future both financially and environmentally

The money that the P&C raises is used to benefit all students and the whole school community.  Some examples of how P&C funds have been used in recent years include:

    • Refurbishing the senior playground

    • Implementing reusables

    • Refurbishing the toilet block on the senior playground

    • Part-funding specialist teachers to help our kids

    • Contributing funds to purchase STEM learning materials

    • Co-funding the Cooler Classrooms purchase of air conditioning units

    • Supporting Year 6 end of year celebrations

The P&C has worked with the school community to identify our focus for 2024. We are aiming to raise more than $75,000 to fund:

    • A fundamental movement teacher

    • A professional development fund

    • Year 6 end of year celebration

The P&C and subcommittees work together to identify opportunities and organise initiatives to raise money throughout the year.

In previous years, we have raised money from the following sources:

    • Fundraising and social events – e,g, Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day stalls, Trivia Nights, Halloween Disco, Festive Markets, Autumn Fair, Christmas Tree sales

    • Government grants

    • Profit from the uniform shop

    • Generous donations to the Building Fund

    • Interest on our bank accounts*

    • Local business community providing donations
